Sunday, December 2nd, 2007Many people worries about dandruff, how they will make their hair shinier, remedies of dry hair, how to prevent greasy hair and how to avoid hair split ends. Eventually I gather a lot of information about this.
I. Split Ends
Split ends are also known as Trichoptlosis. Split ends occur when the hair cuticle is damaged and the fibers of the cortex unravel. You can prevent Split ends. Exposure of hair to innumerable physical and chemical traumas causes split ends. It is important to get rid of split ends otherwise no hairstyle will look good.
Prevention
Splits ends has no solutions. The only method to get rid of split ends is to regularly trim your hair. Some useful preventive tips are given below:
- If you’re using hair color take caution with chemicals. They can make your hair weak and cause split ends.
- Get a trim at least every six weeks.
- It’s best to use a wide tooth comb if your hair is vulnerable to splitting or use a natural-bristle brush instead of metallic combs and brushes.
- When outdoors wear a hat or scarf to minimize sun damage.
- To sleep use a satin pillow case to minimize tangles.
- Avoid brushing your hair when it is wet and most vulnerable to split or break.
- Stop using hair dryers, curling irons, crimpers, hot curlers, and straightening irons.
- Use regular conditioner in your hair after shampooing, and a deep conditioner once a month.
- Use shampoo with ingredients that include sunscreen and moisturizing cream in your hair if it is extremely dry.
- Try a hair split repair product; split ends cannot be repaired but these products minimize the stray hair look.
- If you swim at the pool. You should wear a swim cap to protect your hair from harsh chlorine and other water chemicals.
II. Greasy hair
In order to clean excess oil away from the scalp, a homemade remedies for your greasy hair:
- Lemon mixed with a quart of good water such as distilled water, makes a great rinse. It is best to use the juice of two lemons and this can really help to reduce the oil on your scalp.
- Also, you could use vinegar often for a really good rinse, though it does not smell as good as the lemon! It is better to use white vinegar and it is thought that two tablespoons of the vinegar mixed with one cupful of water should work perfectly. - You could use powder (unscented/scented - baby powder) a little at the root of your hair before straying. If it is a serious problem, put the power on heavily for 15 minutes wash completely, condition lightly, and style. If your scalp is really oily, you could do this every time you wash your hair.
III. Shiny hair
If you want to make your hair shiny you have to try this;
- Honey in your tea, snack or applied as a small amount in the hair will give you shine.
- Vitamin E is essential for your hair. Include brown rice, nuts, wheat germ and leafy green vegetables in your diet.
- In a bowl mash avocado, one tbs. of olive oil and a tsp of baking powder. Mix well and apply it on your hair. Rinse it after 15 minutes.
- Natural oil can also make your hair look shiny. Just brush or comb your hair.
- Rinse your hair with cold water to enhance the shine of your locks. Rinsing with cold water will close & smoothen the cuticle making it look shiny.
